Horror sensation “Obsession,” directed by newcomer Curry Barker, has launched its digital release following a remarkable theatrical success. The film, which captivated audiences globally, amassed over $370 million in box office revenue against a modest budget of less than $1 million.
Now available for purchase or rental on digital platforms such as Prime Video and Apple TV, “Obsession” is not yet accessible through standard streaming subscriptions. Viewers must rent or buy the film to experience it at home, while a subscription-based streaming release is anticipated to be announced subsequently.
The digital edition of the film offers an array of bonus content, including behind-the-scenes footage and commentary from the director. Fans of the movie can also look forward to its physical release on DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K UHD, scheduled for July 14. Additionally, a streaming debut on Peacock is expected to follow in the near future.
Written and directed by Barker, “Obsession” tells the story of a young man whose quest for love takes a sinister turn after encountering a mystical artifact called the One Wish Willow.
