AndaSeat has unveiled its Phantom 4 Series, an ergonomic seating solution designed to support natural movements during work, gaming, reading, and computer use. The series acknowledges that users rarely maintain a static sitting position for long and aims to provide consistent support while allowing for natural shifts in posture.
A standout feature of the Phantom 4 Series is its Dynamic Auto-Tracking Lumbar system. This system offers users the ability to select their preferred lumbar support from 15 locking positions within a 0–95 mm adjustment range. Once set, the lumbar support can swivel approximately 5 degrees to either side and tilt forward and backward by 25 degrees, maintaining contact with the user’s back as their torso adjusts.
The Phantom 4 chairs combine this responsive lumbar technology with a 55 kg/m³ cold-cure foam seat, offering a stable base. Both the Phantom 4 and its Pro variant allow up to 135 degrees of backrest recline and approximately 15 degrees of rocking, facilitating intentional changes in seating posture.
Differences between the two models include levels of manual adjustment. The Phantom 4 comes with 2D armrests that adjust forward-back and vertically, an adjustable memory-foam head pillow, and a butterfly tilt mechanism. In contrast, the Phantom 4 Pro features 3D 360-degree rotating armrests, extended adjustment ranges, and a multi-function tilt mechanism with tilt-lock capability.
AndaSeat’s design philosophy emphasizes responsive seating that provides a stable foundation while allowing selected components to accommodate smaller movements. The Phantom 4 Series reflects this approach by balancing stability, user-controlled adjustment, and mechanical responsiveness, catering to the way people naturally sit rather than expecting a fixed posture.
