Rhombus has unveiled the DC10 Single-Door Controller, a new cloud-managed device aimed at enhancing access control and sensor connectivity for single-door settings. This compact solution integrates individual doors directly with Rhombus’s cloud-based platform, offering features such as remote door management and lockdown capabilities.
The DC10 is engineered for versatile installation, suitable for environments like offices, retail stores, restaurants, gyms, and isolated entrances where a multi-door controller may not be feasible. Its design includes one wet/dry relay, an auxiliary dry relay, and four inputs for tasks such as request-to-exit and door position monitoring. The device’s IK08-rated, plenum-mountable design allows it to be discreetly placed near protected doors, including above drop ceilings and in confined spaces.
Supporting 90 W PoE++ and PoE passthrough, the DC10 can deliver power and connectivity through a single cable while also supporting nearby cameras. It features built-in connectivity for Rhombus’s range of environmental, intrusion, and motion sensors, as well as panic buttons, with a line-of-sight operating range of up to 100 meters.
Equipped with Ethernet and Wi-Fi capabilities, the DC10 is tailored to maintain cloud access, facilitating remote management of doors without the need for an on-site server. This makes it a suitable solution for smaller or distributed locations, streamlining both installation and infrastructure requirements.
