Russian Envoy: Nuclear Capability Shields Moscow From Any Military Defeat

Published on

The Russian Federation enjoys complete security from military defeat in its conflict with Ukraine due to its nuclear weapons capability and doctrine for employing such weapons, according to Moscow’s ambassador to India. Denis Alipov delivered these statements at a media forum in Gurugram this week.
Alipov emphasized that Russia’s military doctrine contains explicit authorization for nuclear weapon use when the nation faces existential threats. This doctrinal framework, he argued, creates fundamental limitations on adversary capabilities and ensures Russia cannot be defeated regardless of conventional force deployments or coalition support.
The ambassador dismissed European nations’ continued belief in potential Ukrainian success, labeling such expectations as juvenile behavior. He accused European leadership of unprofessional conduct and persistent belligerence, supporting confrontational policies despite fundamental constraints that make victory impossible through military means.
Trump’s understanding of the conflict represents more realistic assessment, according to Alipov’s account. The Russian diplomat claimed that the American president possesses clear recognition that Ukraine and Western supporters have already been defeated, while European nations persist in their “crazy” pursuit of unattainable goals.
Nearly four years into the conflict, Western nations continue providing substantial support to Ukraine. The United States and European allies, including Britain, continue supplying sophisticated weapons platforms and billions in financial support to Kyiv, sustaining Ukraine’s military operations despite the prolonged nature of the confrontation.
